But now let me take a moment to introduce you to Pocket Jesus.

Pocket Jesus meet my loyal readers…loyal readers meet Pocket Jesus…

So yesterday I ran out looking for the number birthday candles because I wanted my 1st picture to be of Jesus and 33 in birthday candles.  I opted for the numbers so that standing up 33 little cake candles wouldn’t be depressing and I could just see the candles being more like dominos and a pain.

So as I am checking out at Hobby Lobby they lady asks me, “So are you the one turning 33?”  To which I replied, “Yes.” and I chuckled because I knew what the candles were for.  She wished me a happy birthday and I was on my way. It was then when I got out to the car that I wondered if I looked pathetic for buying my own birthday candles.  Oh well…

So let’s give it up for Pocket Jesus posing with candles that are larger than he is.  I wondered if he feared me lighting them because they would melt his little plastic self.

Day 6

I found these at Hobby Lobby and I completely fell in love with them.  They are buckets that are painted and crafted into snowmen and Santa Claus.

It’s easy sometimes to see Christmas cheer this time of year.  In the cheer of Christmas I find God because of the warmth and care that people share with each other.

Day 7

So I am seriously thinking about getting a puppy around my birthday (aka spring).  So I have been researching various breeds and playing with puppies.

This is a beagle puppy that was at Petland.  It stole my heart and was just too dang cute.

Animals remind me of God because next to him their unconditional love is unmatched.  They are a companion when you feel alone and they make you smile and laugh like no other.

Day 8

The changing of seasons reminds me of God and that He doesn’t change but with each season an aspect of the beauty of nature appears.

Day 9 – God is with Us

Day 5 – God is with Us

I have been on the film set for the {re}gifter most of this week.  It has been incredible to watch the visions of a few come about.  To see the creativity and talent of volunteers.

It reminds me that God is far more creative than we give him credit for.  Honestly I dunno that we give him any credit for his creativity most of the time.  Nor do we recognize his creativty in and through us.

Day 4 – God is with Us

On my tree I have some Christmas Ornaments that look like disco balls. I like them because they reflect all the lights, the color of the tree and the other ornaments.

I was taking pictures of some the other ornaments on the tree when my own reflection caught my eye, so of course I took a picture. When I looked at the picture on my computer it instantly reminded me of 1 Corinthians 13:12 – “Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror;”.

It always amazes me how simple things can reinforce concepts I have read in the Bible. Which then reinforces why I love being taught and teaching with simple concepts.
