86 Ministries – My Birthday Wish

I am not one for mass emails, but sometimes there is a good reason for them.

We have an opportunity to purchase a building in a prime location, but we have a very tight deadline.  We need to raise 225,000 dollars by March 31st.

I know that times are tight for many of us, but I believe that together we can accomplish raising this money.  I know it’s cheesy but one snowflake doesn’t mean a blizzard, but when they team up it happens.  Please forward this on to your friends and family, the more that know the merrier.

Please read the email below and the attachment.

Thanks for taking the time to read and for your help.

Dear friends and partners,

We have an exciting and URGENT opportunity to share with you! We would much rather share this information in person, but due to the time sensitive nature, that was not an option right now.

As many of you know, we started the Underground Concert venue ministry over 12 years ago. Although we have not been involved in that venue for the past two years, our ministry to and hearts for young people have remained constant. Our vision is to provide hope and acceptance for the rejected and neglected.

We have been praying and awaiting God’s timing and direction to be back in full-time ministry. Through a series of confirmations and times of prayer, we believe that NOW is that time.

We have located a building on Vine Street in Corryville, just one block from the University of Cincinnati (UC) campus with 38,000 students. This 16,000 square foot building was previously the Top Cats club which has been closed for over 2 years. It still has the pool tables, sound, lights and other things in place just as it did on the last day they were open. All the contents are part of the sale of the building.

This unique location would not only enable us to have multiple areas of ministry including offering a positive, alcohol-free environment for college students with a 4,500 square foot outdoor patio, a band hostel (a room to house traveling bands overnight), and other ministry opportunities too numerous to count within a community in dire need of attention.

The location would also offer income potential to help sustain the ministry with 2 apartments and band practice rooms to rent. In fact, we already have one interested tenant for the apartments and one band ready to rent a practice space and recording studio. This prime location is directly across the street from the largest tailgating location for UC sporting events. We intend to seek out partnerships with the Christian organizations on campus including, but not limited to, Athletes In Action, Campus Crusade for Christ, and the Navigators.

The owner and one of the realtors are Christians and would love to see us go into the building with a ministry as opposed to the other two sets of people interested in the same space for a bar.

The original list price was $599,000. We have an opportunity to purchase this space for just $225,000 if we can raise the cash within the next SEVEN DAYS, by April 1st!

Personally, we are in the process of selling our home as well as one of our vehicles to become debt-free and be able to make the personal financial adjustments necessary to help accomplish our goal.

We have seen God use His people to accomplish miracles even greater than this in the past and feel confident He will do it again! We greatly appreciate your consideration in how you might partner with us to obtain this building that will be a vehicle for ministering to thousands of college students in the Cincinnati area.

While we do have an established non-profit organization, due to legal limitations with unrelated business income to the non-profit, we are not able to purchase the building under the non-profit status. Therefore, your contributions towards the $225,000 would not be tax-deductible.

If you would like to contribute towards the $225,000 in the form of a short-term loan or a financial gift of any amount, please email us today to let us know. Contributions are needed by Wednesday, March 31st. (Our Limited Liability Company paperwork has not been finalized yet, so payments should be made payable to Chris Human 7 King Arthur
Court Fairfield, OH 45014.)

An additional $100,000 will be required for building renovations. Contributions towards this cause can be under the non-profit and will be tax-deductible. (Payments to 86 Ministries, 7 King Arthur Court Fairfield, OH 45014).

If you have any questions, we would love to talk with or meet with you. We are also interested in any ideas, input or networking suggestions.

Thank you, in advance, for your prayers and consideration.

In His service,
Chris & Monica Human
